The seaside towns of Bridlington, Filey and Scarborough are all within 30 minutes drive away.

Some recommended nearby attractions include;

North Landing - a stunning sand and pebble beach, dramatic chalk cliffs, and rock pools located at Flamborough Head. Only a few minutes drive or a scenic 30 minute coastal walk away.


Bempton Cliffs
is a dramatic chalk cliff nature reserve, featuring puffins, gannets, and over 200,000 nesting seabirds.

Sewerby Hall and Gardens - an historic house, family‑friendly zoo and beautiful gardens overlooking the coast.

 

John Bull World of Rock is a working seaside candy factory featuring interactive family tours, free sweet samples, and an on-site gift shop. Also home to the Candy Kingdom indoor soft play area.

 

Bondville Model Village is a charming miniature attraction in Sewerby, featuring over 200 handcrafted buildings, an active model railway, and an on-site tea room.

Flamborough Head Lighthouse is an active 19th-century landmark, built in 1806, designed by architect Samuel Wyatt, and automated in 1996



The Drinking Dinosaur
an iconic land formation at Flamborough Head, which resembles a dinosaur drinking from the North Sea.


Recommended Places to Eat

DO NOT USE THE ONSITE FISH AND CHIP SHOP!!!

Its rubbish! However, the pizzas from the Lighthouse restaurant onsite are good, other offerings there are average.

Take-away food can be delivered to site, and collected by the by the front gates. We reccomend Emperor Mings for Chinese food and Spices 4 U for Indian.

Other recommendations include;

 

The Caravel at North Landing is part of the Haven group, which means you can enjoy discounts with your privilege card. The food here is of a decent standard.

The Ship Inn at Sewerby boasts a fantastic beer garden, a play area, and stunning sea views, all while serving delicious food.

The Trawl chippy in Bridlington offers the best fish and chips we've ever tasted.

C.R.E.A.M in Bridlington's Old Town is famous for its mouthwatering burgers, crispy fried chicken, and flavorful ribs, all accompanied by an excellent playlist.

SALT on the Harbour in Bridlington is a delightful spot, perfect for a hearty Sunday lunch and a variety of seafood dishes.

The Viking, located just down the road from the site, is a welcoming pub with great prices. It features a kids' play area and hosts karaoke, bingo, and quiz nights every weekend. While the food can be inconsistent, the atmosphere makes it a great place to unwind.
